“My basic science research interests have always been related to cerebral blood flow and cerebral protection from ischemia. My lab now has a project looking at the nature of human arteriovenous malformations of the brain. Working with a team of neuro-otologists and neurosurgeons, we’ve developed a team approach for treating complex cranial base lesions, including acoustic neuromas, meningiomas of the cranial base and complex aneurysms requiring cranial base approaches. It’s been highly rewarding to work with such gifted colleagues.”
